本 App 沒有崩潰回報工具，也不會把任何資料送到我手上——我只知道你告訴我的事，所以描述得越具體，越有機會修好。
常見問題
我在走路，但迷霧沒有被撥開
依序檢查：
- 定位權限：iOS「設定」→ FogRover → 位置，應設為「永遠」並開啟「精確位置」。只給「使用 App 期間」的話，背景與鎖屏時不會開圖。
- GPS 訊號品質：定位精度差於 20 公尺時，App 會刻意忽略該筆資料——這是防止你人在原地、地圖卻亂開洞的濾波。在室內、地下室、高樓林立處或剛開機時，精度通常不夠。到戶外開闊處走一小段試試。
- 你的移動速度：
- 時速 10 公里以下（步行、慢速單車）：正常開圖並發放鑽石。
- 時速 10～40 公里（慢速車輛）：仍會開圖，但不發鑽石——這是防刷幣的設計。
- 時速 40 公里以上：完全暫停開圖。坐車、搭捷運、開車的路段不會被記錄，這是刻意的。
- 是不是靜止太久：靜止超過 3 分鐘後，App 會進入省電待機。走 10 步左右，或移動超過 100 公尺，就會自動喚醒。
為什麼搭車經過的路不算？
因為 FogRover 是步行探索遊戲。時速超過 40 公里時完全不開圖，10～40 公里之間開圖但不給鑽石。這條線不是 bug，是遊戲的前提——不然開車繞一圈就能把整個城市開完。
背景會一直開圖嗎？很耗電嗎？
會，這是 App 的核心功能，需要「永遠允許」定位權限。
耗電方面做了不少設計：時速超過 40 公里時暫停網格計算並降低 GPS 精度模式；靜止超過 3 分鐘轉入待機；步行時使用「高精度」而非「最高精度」（因為濾波門檻本來就是 20 公尺，更高的精度會被那道門吃掉）。
即使如此，持續的背景定位一定比不開耗電。若你在意，可以在不需要開圖的時段把定位權限改成「使用 App 期間」或「永不」。
步數對不上 / 沒有累積
- 確認 iOS「設定」→ FogRover →「動作與健身」已開啟。
- 本 App 讀的是 iPhone 內建計步器（Core Motion），不是健康 App（HealthKit），也不會讀 Apple Watch 的步數。手機沒帶在身上的那段路不會被計入。
- App 內顯示的距離與熱量是估計值，僅供參考，不是醫療或健身測量。
我買了東西，但 App 裡沒有拿到
- 先在 App 內執行「回復購買」（設定 / 商店頁）。所有可購買項目都是非消耗型或訂閱，回復購買一定救得回來。
- 確認你使用的是當初購買時的同一個 Apple 帳戶。
- 確認裝置有網路（回復購買需要向 App Store 查詢）。
- 仍然沒有的話，請來信，附上 App Store 的收據截圖（Email 收據或「購買記錄」畫面）。
怎麼取消訂閱？
在 iOS「設定」→ 點最上方你的名字 →「訂閱項目」→ FogRover → 取消訂閱。
注意：刪除 App 不會取消訂閱。 訂閱會在當期結束前 24 小時內自動續扣，所以請至少提前 24 小時取消。取消後，當期剩餘時間仍可使用權益，已發放的鑽石津貼也會保留。
我要退款
所有購買由 Apple 處理，開發者無法直接退款。請至 reportaproblem.apple.com 提出，或聯絡 Apple 支援。
若是「已扣款但沒拿到東西」，請先試「回復購買」（見上），那通常就解決了。
我換手機了，進度怎麼辦？
本 App 沒有帳號，進度存在裝置上。換機前請在舊手機上使用 App 內的「iCloud 備份」→ 立即備份，然後在新手機上登入同一個 Apple 帳戶、安裝 App 後還原。
⚠️ 如果你從來沒備份過，而舊手機已經重置或遺失，進度無法復原。 我手上沒有你的任何資料副本——這是「零伺服器」的代價，也是它的意義。
購買項目是另一回事：只要是同一個 Apple 帳戶，「回復購買」隨時救得回來。
我可以離線玩嗎？
可以，完全可以。 全程飛航模式，走路、開圖、寵物、成就、明信片都正常運作。地圖不是下載的圖磚，而是在你手機上即時畫出來的虛擬世界。
需要網路的只有三件事，而且都預設關著：iCloud 備份、Game Center 排行榜、隊伍共享。
地圖為什麼長得不像真實街道？
因為它不是真實世界的地圖。FogRover 的底圖是在你的裝置上即時生成的虛擬世界，與真實地球共用同一組座標（走過真實世界的某一點，開的就是虛擬世界的同一點），但沒有真實的道路與建築。
好處有兩個：完全離線、以及分享截圖時不會洩漏你家在哪。
⚠️ 因此請不要把本 App 當導航用。
排行榜沒有出現 / 我看不到好友
Game Center 功能預設是關的，需要你在 App 內主動開啟，並登入 Game Center（iOS 設定 → Game Center）。排行榜只會顯示同樣裝了 FogRover 的 Game Center 好友。
送出去的只有兩個數字：你最高的行政區完成度、最近七天的步數。沒有座標、沒有路線。
隊伍怎麼加入？隊友看得到我多少？
在 App 內開啟隊伍功能後，可以用系統的分享面板送出邀請連結；對方點開連結即可加入。
隊友看得到的是約 5 平方公里一格的粗略覆蓋（一個行政區通常橫跨好幾格），看不到你走過的街道。隊友的格子在你的地圖上只畫描邊、不會挖霧，也不會計入你的進度、成就或鑽石。
請只與你信任的人組隊。 你隨時可以退出，退出後隊友裝置上你的那一份覆蓋就會被清掉。
怎麼把我的資料完全刪掉？
- 這支手機上的：刪除 App 即可，全部清空。
- iCloud 上的（若你備份過）：iOS「設定」→ 你的名字 → iCloud →「管理帳戶儲存空間」→ 找到 FogRover → 刪除。
- 隊伍共享的：退出隊伍。
我手上沒有你的任何資料，所以沒有需要向我申請刪除的東西。詳見〈隱私權政策〉。
支援哪些裝置？
- iPhone，iOS 15.0 以上。
- 目前不支援 iPad（沒有針對大螢幕設計的版面）。
- 需要裝置具備 GPS 與計步器（動作協同處理器），目前的 iPhone 機型都有。

The App has no crash reporting and sends no data to us — we only know what you tell us, so the more specific you are, the better the chance of a fix.
Frequently Asked Questions
I'm walking, but the fog isn't clearing
Check these in order:
- Location permission. iOS Settings → FogRover → Location should be set to Always, with Precise Location on. With "While Using the App" only, fog will not clear in the background or with the screen locked.
- GPS signal quality. When location accuracy is worse than 20 metres, the App deliberately ignores that reading — this filter is what stops the map from tearing holes while you stand still. Indoors, in basements, among tall buildings, or right after launch, accuracy is usually not good enough. Try walking a short stretch in the open.
- Your speed.
- Below 10 km/h (walking, slow cycling): normal fog clearing, diamonds awarded.
- 10–40 km/h (slow vehicle): fog still clears, but no diamonds — this is anti-farming by design.
- Above 40 km/h: fog clearing is fully paused. Car, train, and metro segments are not recorded. This is intentional.
- Have you been still for a while? After 3 minutes of no movement, the App drops into a power-saving standby. Taking about 10 steps, or moving more than 100 metres, wakes it back up automatically.
Why doesn't my commute by car or train count?
Because FogRover is a walking exploration game. Above 40 km/h nothing is cleared; between 10 and 40 km/h fog clears but no diamonds are awarded. That line is not a bug — it is the premise of the game. Otherwise one drive would clear the whole city.
Does it clear fog in the background? Does that drain the battery?
Yes, that is the core feature, and it requires the Always location permission.
A lot of work went into power efficiency: above 40 km/h the App pauses grid computation and lowers GPS accuracy; after 3 minutes of no movement it enters standby; while walking it uses "high" rather than "best" accuracy (the drift filter's threshold is 20 metres anyway, so "best" would buy precision that the filter discards).
Even so, continuous background location always costs more battery than none. If that matters to you, switch the location permission to "While Using the App" or "Never" during periods when you do not need fog clearing.
My step count looks wrong / isn't accumulating
- Check that iOS Settings → FogRover → Motion & Fitness is enabled.
- The App reads the iPhone's built-in pedometer (Core Motion). It does not read the Health app (HealthKit), and it does not read Apple Watch steps. Any walking done without your phone on you will not be counted.
- Distance and calorie figures in the App are estimates for reference only — not a medical or fitness-grade measurement.
I bought something but didn't receive it
- First, use Restore Purchases in the App (Settings / Shop page). Every purchasable item is either non-consumable or a subscription, so Restore Purchases will always bring it back.
- Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you purchased with.
- Make sure the device has a network connection (Restore Purchases queries the App Store).
- Still missing? Email us with a screenshot of your App Store receipt (the email receipt or your purchase history).
How do I cancel a subscription?
iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → FogRover → Cancel Subscription.
Note: deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period, so cancel at least 24 hours in advance. After cancelling, you keep the benefits for the remainder of the period, and diamond allowances already granted stay in your balance.
I want a refund
All purchases are processed by Apple, and the developer cannot issue refunds directly. Please request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
If the issue is "charged but didn't receive it", try Restore Purchases first (above) — that usually resolves it.
I got a new phone. What happens to my progress?
The App has no accounts; your progress lives on the device. Before switching, use iCloud Backup → Back Up Now in the App on your old phone, then sign in to the same Apple Account on the new phone, install the App, and restore.
⚠️ If you never backed up and the old phone has been reset or lost, the progress cannot be recovered. We hold no copy of your data — that is the cost of being serverless, and also the point of it.
Purchases are a separate matter: as long as it is the same Apple Account, Restore Purchases will recover them at any time.
Can I play offline?
Yes, completely. In Airplane Mode the whole time, walking, fog clearing, pets, achievements, and postcards all work normally. The map is not downloaded tiles — it is a virtual world drawn on your phone in real time.
Only three things need a network, and all three are off by default: iCloud backup, Game Center leaderboards, and team sharing.
Why doesn't the map look like real streets?
Because it isn't a real-world map. FogRover's base map is a virtual world generated on your device in real time. It shares the real world's coordinate system (walk over a point in the real world and you clear that same point in the virtual one), but it has no real roads or buildings.
Two benefits: it works fully offline, and sharing a screenshot doesn't reveal where you live.
⚠️ For the same reason, please do not use the App for navigation.
The leaderboard isn't showing / I can't see any friends
Game Center is off by default and must be enabled in the App, with Game Center signed in (iOS Settings → Game Center). Leaderboards only show Game Center friends who also have FogRover installed.
Only two numbers are submitted: your highest district completion and your steps over the last seven days. No coordinates, no routes.
How do teams work? How much can a teammate see?
Once teams are enabled in the App, you can send an invitation link through the system share sheet; opening that link joins the team.
Teammates see coverage at roughly 5 square kilometres per cell (a district usually spans several cells) — never the streets you walked. Teammate cells are drawn on your map as outlines only: they do not clear your fog and do not count toward your progress, achievements, or diamonds.
Only team up with people you trust. You can leave at any time, and your share is then cleared from their devices.
How do I delete all my data?
- On this phone: delete the App. Everything goes with it.
- In iCloud (if you ever backed up): iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → FogRover → Delete.
- Team shares: leave the team.
We hold none of your data, so there is nothing to request deletion of from us. See the Privacy Policy.
Which devices are supported?
- iPhone, iOS 15.0 or later.
- iPad is not supported at this time (there is no layout designed for large screens).
- Requires GPS and a pedometer (motion coprocessor) — present on all current iPhone models.
